Kenneth L. "Kenny" Wellman, 56, of Mecca, died Friday, November 13, 2009 at his residence. He was born October 6, 1953 in Ravenna, OH a son of the Charles and Mary Jane (Marris) Wellman.
He was a graduate of Bristol High School in 1973, and was employed as a security guard for Securitas. He worked for Bristol Township as a road supervisor for 15 years and Tractor Supply Company for Warren for 7 years.
He was a 4-H advisor for Trumbull Dairy Feeders for 20 years, served on the 4-H advisory committee and the Trumbull County Fair sale committee.
Surviving are his wife, Sherry Wellman of Mecca, OH, whom he married March 31, 2007; parents, Charles & Mary Jane Wellman of Braceville, OH; daughters, Jill Halstead of North Bristolville, OH and Katie Wellman of Erie, PA; step-children, Adam Trumbull of Cortland, OH, and Trevor & Hannah Trumbull at home in Mecca, OH; sisters, Karen (Ralph) Boyles of Cortland, OH and Mildred Wellman of Braceville, OH; special nieces, Christine (Doug) Ayres and Sheila (Brian) Wistar; great nieces, Brianna Wistar, and Cierra Ayres; and great-nephew, Donevan Ayres.
Services will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, November 16, 2009 at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Shirley Frantz will officiate. Friends may call 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday.
