Judy A. Sumner, 69, died Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born December 18, 1939, in Grove City, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Edward Clayton Cranmer and the late Olive Jean Broadbent.
Judy worked for Trumbull Convention Bureau as a sales representative. She was active at Otterbein United Methodist Church, was a secretary for S.O.A.R., enjoyed reading and gardening- especially tomatoes and roses, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, John A. Sumner whom she married, October 17, 1959, Judy is survived by daughter, Kim (Michael) Kovalak of Niles, OH and son, Barry (Jan) Sumner of Warren, OH; grandchildren Tina Marie Sumner, Ashley Morrall, David & Rachael Kovalak; brother, Marshall (Marjorie) Winkle of Mount Vernon, OH. Preceding her in death were her parents and Hiram & Sara Winkle, whom raised her from a little girl.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM on December 18, 2009 at the Otterbein United Methodist Church, where Pastor Pat Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Champion Township Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material contributions be made to the Otterbein United Methodist Church in her memory.
