Obituary:

     Betty Packman, 84, died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Windsor House of Champion. She was born January 14, 1925 in Girard, Ohio, a daughter of  the late John Kachenko and the late Anna Miller Kachenko. 

 

     Betty enjoyed crocheting and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

 

     Betty is survived by her sons, David "Willie" (Amanda) M. Packman of Champion, OH and Mark (LeeAnn) A. Packman of Champion, OH; daughter, Cynthia (Channing) Jackson of Warren, OH; 6 grandchildren and 6 great granchildren; sisters, Jayne Gorby of Bazetta, OH, Irene McCready of Long Beach, CA, Janice Loomis of Bazetta, OH, and Maxine Jamison of Mecca, OH; brothers, Bill Kachenko of Mecca, OH and Nick Kachenko of Warren, OH. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Taisto R. Packman, whom she married September 20, 1947 and who passed away November 30, 2000, a son- Jerry R. Packman, 2 brothers-John & Robert Kachenko, and 2 sisters- Margaret Lunder & Helen Galbancia.

 

     Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Duane Jesse will officiate. Friends may call from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
