Gerald Franklin Mitchell, 62 years old, of  West Farmington, died, Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at his residence. He was born December 29, 1946 in Rainelle, West Virginia the son of the late William Franklin and Wenona Paulette (Flint) Mitchell. Gerald married Karen E. Ream on June 6, 1970.

He was employed by Ohio Edison as a Associate Distribution Specialist for 34 years having retired March 17, 2004.

Surviving are his wife, Karen E. Mitchell of West Farmington, and his mother, Wenona Flint Mitchell of Rainelle, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father, William Franklin Mitchell.

Services will be held at, Carl W. Hall Funeral Home on Monday, December 21, 2009, at 11:00 AM., Pastor James Dittmar will officiate. Friends may call 2:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Champion Township Cemetery.
