Obituary:

Joanne Kerr, 86, of Selma, California, died December 10, 2009 at the Keensburg Care & Nursing Facility in Keensburg, California. She was born October 14, 1923 in Michoaca, Mexico, a daughter of the late Jesus Carrillo and the late Simona Trujillo Carrillo.

          Joanne was a member of Cortland Trinity Baptist Church and helped in various ministries within the church. She also worked in housekeeping at St. Joseph Hospital for 31 years, until her retirement in 1989.

          She is survived by her niece, Selma Castillo, with whom she made her home; and sisters, Mrs. Isauro (Jesus) Castillo of Selma, California, Mrs. Ricardo (Eforsina) Torres of Monterrey, Mexico, and Miss Asela Carrillo of Monterrey, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Kerr, whom she married July 20, 1968 and who passed away December 27, 1990; her parents; four sisters and a brother.

          Services will be held for Joanne at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at the Cortland Trinity Baptist Church, where Pastor Dan Barker will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Park in Niles, Ohio.
