Obituary:

Arthur J. Shively, 93 years old, of Greene Twp., Ohio, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 1:06 AM at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

 

He was born September 30, 1916 in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late John W. and Rhoda A. Everitt Shively.

 

Arthur was owner/operator of Shively Heating and Air Conditioning for 36 years.

 

Mr. Shively was a member of and former treasurer of THAA; he enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds and cooking.

 

Survivors include his only daughter, Judith C. Long of Houston, TX; two grandsons, two great granddaughters and one great grandson.

 

Other than his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, the former E. Bertine Gale, on July 24, 2001, they were married on May 20, 1939; and two sisters.

 

Funeral services will be held at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 1:00 PM. Rev. Richard Ballinger will officiate the service. There will be no calling hours.

 

Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greene Twp., Ohio.

 

The family requests that no flowers be sent.
