OBITUARY

 

TOGETHER FOREVER

 

Cyrus N. Smith, Jr., 90 years old of Lordstown, Ohio,  died Thursday January 21 2010 at Briarfield at the Ridge. He was born May 20, 1919 in Windham, Ohio, the son of the late Cyrus N. Smith, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Gorga Smith. Cyrus married Virginia Mae Nickol Smith on May 20, 1939.

 

He graduated from Windham High School in 1937 and was employed at Republic Steel Corp. as a Mechanical Supervisor for 39 years.

He was a veteran of WWII having served in the Army.

 

Cyrus was a member of Northmar Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. His passion in life was first and foremost his family. He and Virginia enjoyed sharing special moments with their children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

 

Surviving are a son, Richard & Judy Smith of Michigan & a daughter, James & Judy Borell of Lordstown, Ohio.  Brother, Ronald Smith of Bradenton, Florida, 5 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren survive.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virginia who passed away  May 26, 2006 & 6 sisters.

 

Cremation has taken place, no calling hours or services will be held.

 

Interment will take place in Windham Cemetery at a later date.
