Obituary:

Robert H. Dean, Jr., 69, of Cortland, Ohio, died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 9:12 AM at the Hospice House, Poland, Ohio.

 

He was born May 9, 1940 in Hampton, Tennessee, the son of the late Robert H. and Zola Johnson Dean, Sr. 

 

Robert worked as a Machine Operator at Packard Electric before his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and beagle dogs.

 

Survivors include his wife, the former Martha "Peggy" Broyles, whom he married on March 15, 1997; two sons, Robert M. (Deborah) Dean of Cortland and Michael (Sandy) Dean of Niles; two stepsons, Daryl (Jill) Broyles of Chuckey, TN and Rev. Timothy (Rhonda) Broyles of Jonesboro, Tennessee; maternal grandmother, Sally Johnson of Niles; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two brothers, Charles "Chick" Dean of Moshiem, TN and Scotty (Mary) Dean of Cortland, Ohio.

 

Other than his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his 1st wife, the former Emma Double, on March 15, 1992, they were married on July 23, 1961.

 

Calling hours will be held from 5-7 PM, Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

 

The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Rev. Timothy Broyles and Pastor Steven A. Sespico will conduct the service.

 

Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Bazetta Twp., Ohio.
