Obituary:

 

Carl E. Good, 94 years old, of Warren, Ohio, died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 4:25 PM at the Windsor House of Champion.

 

 He was born March 16, 1915 in Amsden, Ohio, the son of the late Bert Gilbert and Edna Oreid McLaughlin Good.

 

Mr. Good retired from Wean Manufacturing in 1983 after 33 years of service.

 

Carl was a US Marine Veteran of  having served during WWII.

 

Mr. Good enjoyed fishing, having wild game stag parties, dancing, bowling, hunting and golf. He was a member of the DS Club and the Cortland Moose.

 

Survivors include his companion of 45 years, Lois Swiger of Cortland; one son, Joseph "Skip" Good of Howland; one grandson, Jesse (Mai) Good and one granddaughter, Hana (John) Kennedy; two great grandchildren.

 

He was like a step dad to David Swiger of Warren, Bonita Hamrick of Warren Twp. and Barbara (Raymond) Hall of Champion; he was like a grandfather to Christina (Kenny) Swik, Charles (Christina) Lambert, Roy (Lisa) Lambert, Amy Cleer and Robert (Kellie) Hall; he was like a great grandfather to16 and like a great great grandfather to 1; also surviving is a goddaughter, Sherrie Palloy of North Carolina.

 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Fritz Good and sister, Thelma Moore.

 

Memorial services will be held at the Bazetta Christian Church on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM, where Rev. Paul P. Leone will officiate.  Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the church.

 

It was Carl's request that he would be cremated. The family requests that no flowers be sent.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
