Ruth A. (Osborne) Chisholm, 77, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Community Skilled Health Care Centre. She was born April 7, 1932 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Clarence Osborne and the late Dessie Slater Osborne.
Ruth worked as a waitress at the Brown Derby Mahoning Avenue Restaurant for 15 years. She grew up in Clarksville, Pa., now known as Clark. Her favorite hobby was reading. She could read an entire novel in one day if the book interested her. She also enjoyed traveling and seeing her family, especially her great granddaughter, Sierra. When she spent time with her family, she enjoyed playing boardgames for many hours.
Ruth is survived by her son, Charles (Darlene) Chisholm of Sharon, Pa., daughter, Sharon Chisholm of Warren, Oh., grandchildren, Liana Koser, Jeremy Chisholm, and Laurel (Edward) Frederick, great-grandchild, Sierra Frederick, sisters, Sarah Albertson of Colorado, Geri Hoffman of Norfolk, Va., Jean Hitchcock of Transfer, Pa., and Lois Taylor of New Castle, Pa.. Preceding her in death were her parents and 2 brothers, Dale Osborne and Glen Osborne.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Rick Hughes will officiate. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
