Obituary:

Nelma Irene Uitto, age 83, of Girard, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

 

She was born February 1, 1927 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of  the late Emil and Lempi Hartvikki Pantilla. 

 

Nelma was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church.

 

Survivors include her son, Ray P. (Karla) Uitto, Jr. of Howland; three daughters, Karen (Pete) La Cerva and Kathleen R. Uitto both of Girard and Jeannette U.  Miller of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren, John and Robert La Cerva, Laurie Da Polito, Liane Fortino, Megan Mills and Charri Everson; 10 great grandchildren.

 

Other than her parents, Nelma was preceded in death by her husband, Ray P. Uitto, Sr. on March 12, 1991, they were married on June 8, 1946; two brothers and two sisters, Pearl Adams and Lillian Shearer.

 

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Wayne L. Sherman officiating.

 

Family and friends may gather at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
