Obituary:

 

  Charles E. High,  86 years old, of Cortland OH, died, Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.  He was born February 23, 1923 in  Masontown, Pa. a son of the late Lloyd High and the late Esther Nugent High. Charles married Marian G. Yocum on July 29, 1944, and she preceded him in death on June 19, 1995.

 

  He was  employed at Packard Electric for 21 years.

 

Charles attended Champion Presbyterian Church, Enjoyed watching High School sports and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. Charles also enjoyed going to Raptis to eat breakfast and driving his Cadillac. He was also an avid Steelers Fan.

 

Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army after 21 years of service. He served in WWII & the Korean wars and was highly decorated.

 

Surviving are his Son, Chip (Marybeth) High of Fowler and  Daughter, Cheryl (John)  Devine of Champion and  Grandchildren, Kristy, Jeff and Bethany High.

 

 He  was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife Marian Yocum High and brother Jim.

 

Services will be held at, Carl W. Hall Funeral Home on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 10:00 AM., Rev. Marvin Barney  will officiate.  Friends may call One hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

 

Interment will be in Champion Twp. Cemetery.
