Alvie Keffer Jr., 66 years old, of Cortland, died, Monday, March 8, 2010, in Niles. He was born December 29, 1943 in Connellsville, Pennsylvania a son of the late Alvie and Gladys (Warman) Keffer Sr.

Alvie was retired from Packard Electric where he had worked as a slitter. He was a member of Marantha Church.

Surviving are his son, Joseph E. Keffer of Howland and daughter, Denise Keffer of New Jersey, two sisters, Patricia Conley of Champion and Carol Nichols of Cortland, one brother, Donald Keffer Sr. of North Bloomfield, two step-brothers, Gene Helmick of Niles, and David Helmick of Cleveland. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, a brother and a step- brother.

Services will be held at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 11:00 AM, Rev. Woody Cavender and Fr. Mathew Mankowski will officiate.
