Together Again

Marcelene "Marcy" Ginn, 81, of Leavittsburg, Ohio went home to live in eternal joy and peace with the Lord Monday, May 31, 2010, at her home after an extended illness, with both of her daughters by her side.  She was born November 3, 1928 in Tallassee, Alabama, the daughter of the late Johnny Partridge and Annie Ellison Partridge.

She met her husband-to-be, Jacob W. Ginn, a U.S. Air Force sergeant at a USO dance at Greenville Airforce Base in 1949. They were married on August 5, 1950, where Marcy began her journey supporting her husband's military career living in Turkey, Mississippi, Missouri and finally settling in Ohio upon Jacob's military retirement after serving his country for 23 years. Marcy worked for six years as a telephone operator for United Telephone, and retired from Packard Electric after working for 12 years.  She also worked at Convenient Food Mart in Warren, and was a homemaker during her final years.  Marcy was a member of Leavittsburg Church of God, and a member of Women of the Moose #688 of Warren, Ohio and former member of Eastern Star.  She was an avid lottery player, and also enjoyed reading, fishing, playing bingo and going to casinos.  She loved gospel and country music, and had a big heart donating generously over the years to many charitable causes, especially ones benefiting animals.  She dearly loved time spent with her grandpuppies, Sadie Rose, Pebbles Marie, Bibi, Buddy, Jake, Buffy and Missy.  They brought her great comfort and happiness.

Survivors include one son, Johnny L. (Jerrie) Ginn of Salem, VA; two daughters, Ramona "Mona" (Edward) Valley of Lordstown, OH and Tamatha "Tami" Ginn of Leavittsburg; one brother, John (Johnnie) Partridge of Fort Meyers, FL; and two granddaughters, Danielle and Kelsey Ginn of Salem, VA.  Other than her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Cleckler and Faye Key; and two brothers, Ralph and O'Neil Partridge.
