Obituary

Warren V. Saltsman 89, formerly of Southington, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019.

He was born on May 23, 1929, a son of the late Oscar W. and Emma Hogue Saltsman.
Warren met and married Carol J. Kimmel on May 2, 1951. She preceded him in death August 23, 2004. Mr. Saltsman worked for ITT Grinnell Corp. as a machinist for 39 years and then for Quality Switch for eight years.

Warren served in the US Army during the Korean War, where he was attached to the 235th Observation Battalion of the field Artillery.

Warren is survived by a son, Kim (Patti) Saltsman of PA, a daughter, Laura (Robert) Kerr of Southington, OH, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving are: two brothers, Kenneth Saltsman of Ravenna, OH, Carl Saltsman of Atwater, OH; two sisters, Delores Horning of Atwater, OH and Goldie Harper of Shalersville, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol Kimmel Saltsman, two brothers Robert & Albert Saltsman, twin grandsons Warren and Robert, and 2 half-brothers, Elwood Saltsman & Milo "Mike" Saltsman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at the Southington Reformed Cemetery Chapel, where people may call 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Jim Dittmar will officiate.

Material contributions may be made to the Southington Fire Department.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
