A Funeral represents a purposeful opportunity to reflect on the meaning of a life that’s been lived, and is the processes and choices you have to create a meaningful experience for your family and friends.

It is the desire of the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home to provide comfort and encouragement during the grieving process and to help each family make arrangements that best suit their personal needs.

Traditional Funeral Service

A traditional funeral service includes a family and/or public viewing of your loved one, usually two hours in the late afternoon or evening and then again one hour prior to the funeral service, which typically is held at the funeral home or a church.   This would be followed by a procession to the cemetery for burial or entombment.  One common variation of the traditional service would be to have the viewing, services and burial or entombment, take place all in the same day.

Graveside Service

A graveside service means the calling hours and service will be held at the cemetery either in their chapel or a tent, near the gravesite.  A time may be scheduled for the family to view the day prior to the service.

Gathering of Friends and Family

These arrangements are for calling hours only. There will not be a funeral service.  Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home or church to view and remember the life lived.

Direct Burials and Cremations

These arrangements require no embalming, viewing or funeral service.  The Carl W. Hall Funeral Home will provide professional services and necessary merchandise for either burial or cremation.

Traditional Cremation Service

These arrangements require all the same services as the Traditional Funeral Service except instead of the funeral procession to the cemetery the casket is taken to the crematory.  There are also some additional options in regards to funeral merchandise.  The family can buy or rent a casket, to use for the calling hours and service, and choices of cremation urns are also available.  Cremains can be buried in a cemetery or entombed in a niche at a mausoleum, properly scattered or returned to the family for safe keeping.   There are also various options in regards to funeral merchandise associated with cremation that can be found in the merchandise section of this website.  All cremations entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home are done in our own crematory.

Cremation with Memorial Service

The actual cremation takes place first, which extends to your family more flexibility in scheduling the day, time and place for the funeral ceremony.  Services can be held when it is most convenient with your family and friends.  The cremains may be present in an urn or not present at all.  Calling hours can be arranged in the evening or just prior to the service.  All of the choices of final disposition of the cremains suggested in the traditional cremation can be arranged with this selection.
