Nicholas G. Hannison, 84, of Warren, OH and Spring Hill, FL passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Washington Square Healthcare. He was born May 22, 1930 in Akron, OH, the son of the late John and the late Ann (Cvetich) Hannison. He married Eleanor Sosnicki on April 28, 1956 and they have shared 58 years of marriage together.

He was a 1950 graduate of West High School, and was employed as a State Trooper with Ohio State Highway Patrol for 24 years, retiring May of 1977. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during Korean War.

Nicholas was a lifetime member of DAV, Ohio State Highway Patrol Retirees and Multiple Sclerosis Society. He enjoyed reading, traveling and listening to music.

Nick's loving memory will be cherished by his wife, Eleanor S. Hannison of Warren, OH; two cousins, Robert Warner of Clinton, OH and Valeria (Robert) English of The Villages, FL; nieces, Susan (Don Patton) Sosnick of Pittsburgh, PA and Patricia (John) Domino of North Ridgeville, OH; nephew, Michael (Paula) Sosnick of Beloit, OH; great-nieces, Kristen Domino and Michele Sosnick; great-nephews, Greg Domino and Stephen Sosnick; and great-great-nephew, Gavin Domino. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the funeral home, where Rev. Charles S. Pahlman will officiate.
